Comments from students:
"I consider myself an artist. I take photos and work with flowers. But after your class I look at the sky and surrounding hills with thoughts of colors in them. I may never be good but learned a lot and enjoyed it. Will try another class soon. You definitely are a good teacher"
"Thank you for everything! You are the best!! I am inspired to paint and sketch and paint and sketch and wish I could everyday"
"I am so happy to be part of this class. I love how positive you are and am happy to be with creative people and have the ability to get better at art. I paint at home every night and this gives me direction and I really needed this. It's perfect. Thank you so much!"
"I took art lessons at the Chicago Museum of Art while I lived in Chicago. It was an 8 week class but I learned more in one sketching class with you (Howard) as I did throughout the entire 8 week class"
"You taught me how to look at sketching a different way."
"I can't believe I can sketch. I never dreamed I could do this."
"I wanted to let you know I thoroughly enjoyed your class this past weekend and learned a LOT. Thank you for taking us through some of the basics and then giving us detailed, well expressed instructions on how to create sketches in perspective. I loved how the final sketches just popped right off the page. The pictures turned out better than I expected in just a couple of hours. It was nice to see such progress in such a short time. I'll definitely look for future classes!"
